I bake fresh daily, and my products feature flavorful, organic whole stone-ground flours from grains grown in California and Utah. No dyes, flavor additives, preservatives, or commercial yeast — ever. Just delicious breads, babkas, jams, and more, made right here in Berkeley.
The polenta porridge bread is pretty irresistible! Excellent firm but not hard crust, with pleasant...graininess? Inside soft and a bit moist (sorry if you are a hater of that word) - pleasing hint of salt and perceptible sourness.
I’m skeptical of cinnamon babka but you’re an excellent baker so I was willing to find out. This babka deserves an award. It's v moist and syrupy which is not what I associate with babka but what all babka should be.
The chocolate babka was very delicious! Nice distinct taste to the bread, pretty perfect texture, strong cocoa taste mostly coming through as very chocolatey.
The hippy bread was so delicious I accidentally finished it by myself in a day; delightfully crunchy crust and soft, chewy center. The distinctive but subtle nutty flavor is great with butter and jam as promised; I also enjoyed it with avocado and as a perfect accompaniment to butternut squash soup!
